Very few anglers were out on the canal over the weekend despite the very good conditions. those fishing were rewarded with some good sport,

On section 8 carp into mid doubles were being taken and on section 9 some large perch to 2lb were caught.

A surprise catch this week was a 2lb chub taken on section 4 on a boilie.
 
At Beckerings night anglers have had the best of the fishing over this week, with the best fish reported being a 28lb mirror and a member called Chris fishing on Saturday had 3 fish. The best reported catch during the day came from Kevin Barables who took six fish during a short session the best a fish of 20lb 4oz.

Float anglers are still taking small roach and perch.
 
On North House Bruce Starling had three carp of 17lb 2oz,14lb3oz and 10lb 6oz as well bream to 9lb. Tim Toomey reported a 18lb 5oz mirror and Steve Osborn had the best fish of the week a 28lb plus mirror.
 
On the river at the Wyboston complex Steve Briggs took six pike to 9lb and Dawn Hatchelt had a pike of 15lb 8oz
 
The first round of the predator challenge trophy was held this Sunday on the river on the Black Cat section, eight anglers fished. There were a few lost fish over the course of the day with tales of some monsters, but at the end of the match Kevin Bullus won with two fish one of 12lb and the other 11lb 7oz.

The match group were at Sandy Bridge this week and 20 anglers fished.
