The bailiffs on the canal this week report that there more anglers showing up on the banks now the weather has begun to change for the better.

 

There are a bream starting to show along the section behind Tesco`s and on Sunday the anglers fishing around the Globe were taking silver fish.

 

Bailiff Steve Sharp fished midweek and took carp to double figures on the swing bridge section.

 

At North House Andy Smith has continued to take fish this week with a common of 20lb 7oz along with a bream of 8lb. Terry Willison had a 22lb 8oz common and Brett Herdman took a bream of 7lb.

 

At the South Lagoon a few pike have shown, David Holtum took a five fish catch with fish to 11lb and the best reported fish of the week went to Simon Heath a fish of 14lb.

 

On Beckerings reservoir Peter Fitzgibbon took the French fish at 25lb the second time this fish has featured in as many weeks he also had a 20lb common. Colin Holmes took a few small doubles midweek, and there have been fish to over 20lb reported in the week.

 

The match this week was attended by 23 anglers and was fished at the three locks,

 

1st was M.Dickens with 9lb 14oz

2nd was P.Oldroyed 7lb 14oz

3rd was P.Currell Jr with 6lb 12oz, 

 

Next weeks match is on section 14 and the draw is at the golf range.
