The turn in the weather this week has kept many anglers off the bank.

On the canal there were bream being taken on section 2 and carp from the Globe a few fish were being taken from the usual places but as normal the weather puts off the anglers not the fish.

On his first trip to Beckerings committee member Malcolm Terry took a mirror of 14lb plus on Monday and many of the other anglers took fish through the day. I have been told a fish of over 28lb was also taken during the day.

On the South Lagoon Steve Briggs had tench to 5lb and Bream to 8lb.

At North House Lake Graham Murfin had a multiple carp catch with fish of 18lb12oz,17lb4oz, 14lb14oz,14lb,13lb14oz,13lb,12lb,8lb and 5lb

Over this weekend the Wyboston complex was closed for a two day work party on the road that runs through the complex, Luton AC volunteers spent two days digging out the large holes that have appeared in the road over the past few years. Please remember if you visit this venue to drive slowly to prevent the track from being damaged.

Over 40 members attended over the two days and 10 tons of concrete was mixed and used to repair the road, the committee would like to that all those who attended despite the poor weather conditions
