From the bailiffs reports there have very few anglers on the bank over the past week.

The river sections have been rising through the week as the rain again put most into flood.. I do have one report from Eric Branham from last week who fished at Lavendon Mill, Eric was the member who took the large eel from the venue, he reports that during his last visit he took a p/b river bream of over 10lb, he also reports that he arrived early  and fished on a rising river , only to discover on packing away and returning to his car found the two bridges were under flood water, and he had a few "dodgy" moments, A reminder to us all that care should be taken in such conditions.

On North House the carp are reported to be spawning and not particularly interested in anglers baits, two anglers did manage to catch were Brett Herdman who had a fish of 24lb 15oz and Mick Stringer who had a 24lb

With the river as it is the South Lagoon is full of fish moving in from the river, there are plenty of roach and bream being taken on maggot and wheat, Best catch reported this week was from Martin Bornman who had a net of bream to 11lb.

At Beckerings the only reported fish this week was from Gary Stevens who had an 18lb mirror.

Due to the ever increasing problem of fish being stolen for the table from the canal, the canal reports will no longer be very specific on which sections carp are being caught on. If you wish to see more specific information please register and login to the Members only section of the website.

On the canal there have been carp to double figures showing along with plenty of roach and bream. A ghost carp of 7lb was also reported. Bailiff Steve Sharp fished Sunday morning and had the section to himself and it was sunny and no wind at all, taking advantage of the good conditions took a bag of roach and carp of 50lb the carp being taken on boilies and the roach on hemp,

Last week Blenheim AC fished at Chelmscote

1st was Robert Wood who weighed in 26lb 7oz mainly bream and some roach best 15oz on long pole with chopped worm and caster

2nd Ray Wood with 24lb 10oz using the same tactics

3rd was Phil Lavender who used the same method to weigh in 24lb 10oz

a total weight of 169lb 1oz was caught by 13 anglers.

This week the Luton match was held on the same section

1st with 20lb 4oz was S Davis

2nd B Fensome with 12lb 2oz

3rd W Nicholls who weighed in 10lb 8oz.

The club thanks those who responded to the plea for the work party at our Biddenham fishery this week, despite the conditions a good number turned out to brave the elements and partake in the much needed repairs
