this week regular Phil Randall continued his successful run with a 9 fish catch
with three over 20lb the best a mirror of 25lb 8oz. Another regular Mick
Stringer took a 3 fish catch with the best a fish of 27lb.
Joanne Edwards fished overnight Friday taking 5 fish including a p/b common of 23lb 2oz , Bret Herdman reported a linear mirror of 14lb, On Saturday one of lutons stalwart members Geoff Brown took a rest from his regular haunt on the canal to fish the reservoir with great effect landing a mirror of 23lb 3oz. Also this week Gary Scott fished an afternoon taking a common of 16lb, Best fish of the week was mirror of 29lb.
On North House Neil McRobert reported a common of 23lb, Bruce Starling took tench to 4lb 8oz and Tim Billingham had a common of 14lb.
On the South Lagoon Junior Jack Mansfield took an all roach catch of 12lb with fish around 12oz, while his father Trevor took a large bream catch weighing 7lb with fish up to 5lb, Ray Gidman reported a common of 15lb.
Unable to keep away from the big zander Danny Kelly changed venues this week and fished the river at black cat to take a fish of 14lb 8oz, Another angler Dawn Hatchelt also fished the venue and took a chub of 4lb 11oz.
On the canal this week all sections have been producing good numbers of roach and skimmers. The chelmscote section has been the best area for the larger bream with fish around 5lb showing well. There have some very large perch being reported, at Grove fish to just under 4lb have been caught and on the Slapton section fish over 4lb have been reported.
