The reports this week are few and far between, due to the snow and the cold snap and the flooding on the rivers has meant there have been very few anglers venturing out on the bank.

The bailiffs are reporting that the river sections have been in flood for most of the week and at the weekend most sections had just about returned to levels within their banks.

Alf the canal bailiff reported that the canal has been frozen for most of the week, however at the weekend most of the ice had cleared and there was a few members braving the cold and fishing. Although difficult most people fishing did catch and looking at Sundays match results sport was good.

At Beckerings again there have been very few fishing but there have been reports of carp to low doubles being caught, and pike to mid doubles have shown.

On the South Lagoon Alan Bradshaw reported pike into double figures and Simon Chalkley had pike to 13lb 8oz. The bailiff reports that there are plenty of pike up to double figures showing.

The match this week was held on the section 7 of the canal. 22 anglers fished

1 I Orbell        12lb 10oz

2 M Dickens 10lb 2oz

3 D Moss       8lb 1oz

Next weeks match will be held on Town South, Luton AC will fish against Leighton Buzzard for the Lathbury Cup.
