At Beckerings a midweek session turned out to be very productive for Keith Lake, taking a 30lb common at around four o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday this is the best winter fish heard of from Luton waters for some time.
 

On Sunday a multiple fish catch was taken by Michael Hughes he took four fish the best at 13lb.
 
On the canal anglers were taking perch from section on on worm and a day ticket angler Mr Johnson had a four pound carp from around Sandy Bridge.
 
The Luton match team fished an inter club match on the Town South section of the canal this week against Leighton Buzzard AC for the Lathbury Cup.

35 anglers took part, top over all weight was G Jones LAC with 33lb 12oz of carp from peg 31, second was T Bird LAC from peg 32 with 13lb 14 oz and third was I Brown from LBAC with 7lb 11oz. The four section winners were R Lear 3lb 5oz, D Pellow 1lb 12oz , P Oldroyd 6lb 2oz, D Batchelor 1lb 9oz.
 
The final round of the Predator Cup was held this Sunday on the South Lagoon, eight anglers fished in very cold and windy conditions. Two fish were caught Press Officer Gary Scott took a fish of 12lb 8oz in the first 15 minutes but was bettered with a fish of 13lb 2oz taken during the last 5 minutes by James Bishop, The over all winner this year was Kevin Bullus with 23lb 7oz taken during an earlier round.
