The work party next week 20th April will be at Eaton Ford can all people attending please meet there at 9.00am not at the Black Cat.
 
The canal has been fishing well this week with large numbers of roach and skimmers being taken on sections 8 to 15.
At Grove Mr Ridgeway had caught two carp and lost two on Sunday he did seem to think he was doing as well as normal, expecting to catch more with weights around the 15lb mark. This is one of the sections the club will be opening to night fishing
for members only  next season, fish to 30lb have been taken from this area in the past.
There have again been reports of large perch being caught from the Slapton section the best this week a fish of 2lb 8oz.


A reminder to all fishing the canal
NO KEEPNETS ARE TO BE USED DURING APRIL OR MAY.
 
At Beckerings Michael Evans took three carp this week the best at 16lb and a night angler Michael Smith took six commons on  Thursday two going over 20lb.
 
On North House Lake Tim Tooney had three carp a 19lb 6oz mirror and two commons of 16lb and 14lb 5oz as well as three bream to 8lb, Steve Osbourne had a number of tench to 4lb.
 
The fish were feeding well on the South Lagoon this week with plenty of tench and bream showing, On Friday night Kevin Bullus feeder fished worm and corn to take five bream the best at 7lb 4oz and two tench to 7lb 2oz. Steve Briggs also had a tench of 7lb. Sunday evening Gordon Stacey was catching tench of around 4 to 5lb with the best fish of 7lb 4oz.


Also on the Lagoon this weekend John Constantine was catching tench to 5lb 8oz as well as perch to 1lb, one of the perch was taken by a large pike which he played for approx 1/2 hour before he lost it, many anglers gathered to watch and estimated the pike was well over 25lb !
