Specimen Fish Awards 2010/11

Club plaques will be awarded annually from 1st January to 31st December each year to

members landing the best specimen fish of each species from any of the Club’s waters, competitions included, provided that the following minimum qualifying weight is attained.

 

Barbel - 8 lb. Bream – 7 lb. Carp - 20 lb.
Crucian Carp - 2 lb. Chub - 4 lb. Dace - 10 oz.
Eel - 3 lb. Gudgeon - 3 oz. Perch - 2 lb.
Pike - 20 lb. Roach - 1 lb.8 oz. Rudd - 1 lb.8 oz.
Ruffe – 4 oz. Tench - 6 lb. Zander - 10 lb.

 

Junior members do not have to attain the above weights and any captures considered worthy by the Board, will receive a Merit Award.

 

Entries to be sent in writing to the Secretary within 10 days of the capture, stating species and weight, where caught, bait and tackle used, method of weighing and names and addresses of 2 witnesses or any one of the Club’s Bailiffs.

 

Members claiming a new Club Record shall make the scales used available to the Secretary for verification of their accuracy.

 

When weighing with a spring balance please use either a weigh sling, landing net or wet plastic bag.

 

On no account should the hook of a spring balance be inserted into the gills of a fish.
