Work Parties

A lot of work is involved in improving and keeping the venues in good order. The Club's Fisheries Officer Ken Scott is responsible for planning the work parties in close liaison with Chairman Dave Edwards.

The tasks involve a lot of hard work and the hard work carried out in recent years means that there is a lightening of the workload this year but there is still much to be done to get all of our venues in tip-top condition.

There is always work to be done keeping swims clear, and all of the waters will get a look in.

If you have some spare time please give us a hand and as well as a discount on the club book it is an ideal chance to meet other members and club officials

Work Parties are not just confined to the Close Season. There are not many weeks of the year that Ken and Dave are not out on the banks carrying out some necessary work or some other aspect of Club administration. Keep an eye on the important news section of the forum as we will post details of any jobs we need a hand with.

Some of the work carried out during the 2007 work parties included the replacement of some of the older platforms at Beckerings Reservoir and also vital repairs to the track around South Lagoon at Wyboston.

Sunday 11th May 2008- Wyboston Complex

Sunday 25th May 2008- Biddenham

Sunday 8th June 2008- Lavendon Mill

Make sure you register with the fisheries officer at each work party to qualify for the discounts.
